Fried Corn

  • 4 ears of Jones Farms corn (cooked and cut off the cob)
  • 2 Jones Farms roma tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 Jones Farms bell pepper your choice of color (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 a package of bacon (chopped)
  • 6 TBS of butter

Instructions

Cook your bacon in a frying pan to your preferred doneness. Then remove the bacon and place it in a bowl, remove most of the bacon grease from the pan but allow for a little to remain. Add half of the butter the chopped onion and the chopped pepper and cook till the onion is translucent. Add your corn and tomatoes as well as the rest of the butter. After awhile add the bacon back into the pan. Then season with garlic salt, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and some black pepper and serve hot!


Southern Bourbon Peach Cobbler

  • 6 Jones Farms peached (use many different varieties) 
  • 3 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 capful of almond extract
  • 2 capfuls vanilla extract
  • 2 TBS your choice of bourbon
  • 1 cup of flour 
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 TBS cold butter (chopped into cubes)
  • 1/4 boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Blanch peel and chop your peach them then add them into a 2-quart baking dish. Combine cornstarch, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, almond extract,vanilla extract, and bourbon into the baking dish and stir together well. Place baking dish into the oven for 10 minutes. While your peach mixture is baking combine flour, baking powder, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, cinnamon and mix. Next add in the cold butter and use your fingers to combine (it should look like corn meal). Add the boiling water into the mix and combine it together well. When the peaches come out of the oven spoon the topping over the peaches. Then put the cobbler into the oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
